Five Red Rose Rescuers- namely myself Monica Miller, Will Goodman, Patrice Woodworth, Matthew Connolly, and Robert "Doc" Kovaly were found guilty of trespassing and also interference with an officer (we practiced passive resistance) by a 6 person jury Feb. 21st stemming from our Dec. 2, 2017 pro-life rescue at the Women's Center abortion center in West Bloomfield, MI. operated by abortionist Jacob Kalo.

We were denied a defense of necessity! Thus the babies were kept hidden from the jury. The very hostile--very pro-abortion prosecutor Larry Sherman and Judge Marc Barron tried their best to stifle our testimony.  Indeed, Judge Barron even made a ruling that during the trial no one could call the Women's Center an "abortion clinic"!

I took the stand as well as Will Goodman and we tried to tell the truth despite the judge's order to not talk about abortion and the babies—and the mothers we sought to help. Lots of "objection Your Honor" and "sustained"s coming from the prosecutor Larry Sherman and Judge Barron!!

Judge Barron and Sherman wanted the proceedings to be sanitized. The killing of the unborn was deemed irrelevant! See below the RRR FACEBOOK posting that gives some idea of what happened in court.

The unborn, the issue of abortion, the reasons why we went into the waiting room of the Women’s Center abortion clinic of West Bloomfield, MI were issues the jury was not permitted to consider in weighing our guilt or innocence on the charges we faced. I wish I had a dollar for every time prosecutor Sherman told the jury “the reasons why these defendants entered the Women’s Center are irrelevant.” He emphasized that this was just a simple, straightforward “trespassing case.”

Thus with the victims of abortion left hidden and the harm of abortion to women not to be considered—we were summarily convicted by a jury that deliberated for a mere 30 minutes. After all, you know, this was just a simple “trespassing case.”

It was very interesting to see that really everyone knew that there was an elephant in the room and that everyone pretended that it wasn’t there— namely the very issue of abortion itself. During the jury selection process Judge Barron agreed with the prosecutor that the jurors could not be told that this case had something to do with abortion, or involved an abortion clinic, and jurors could not be asked if they had any strong views on the subject of abortion that would prevent them from rendering a fair and impartial verdict in “this case.” When questioned by prosecutor Sherman one prospective juror stated: “I can tell that this case has something to do with abortion. I need to tell you I am pro-choice and an atheist.” Now the truth was out—the very issue Sherman and Barron were trying to hide! This caused several other jurors to feel a need to proclaim their views.

Our attorney Robert Muise of the American Freedom Law Center struck anyone who said they were “pro-choice.” Sherman struck anyone who seemed in any way sympathetic to the pro-life position. It took quite a while to finally seat a jury!

When the jury came in to tell us we were “guilty” Judge Barron did something unprecedented in the history of the pro-life movement.

Barron added another post-conviction bond condition. NOW GET THIS!! The five defendants CANNOT go within 50 yards (150 feet) of any abortion clinic ENTRANCE in the entire United States of America! This condition lasts FOR THE NEXT THREE WEEKS AT LEAST UNTIL THE MARCH 14TH SENTENCING!!!!! I am NOT kidding. This is unheard of!! No judge, even during the height of the rescue movement in the 1980s, ever imposed such a condition on pro-lifers! We can only truly hope and pray that this ridiculous restriction on our freedom of assembly and speech be removed!! Attorney Robert Muise has filed an emergency petition to the Oakland County Circuit Court.

We DID NOT agree to the condition-- but it was imposed on us!!

However-- let us rejoice to suffer something for the sake of Jesus Our Lord and the small outcast people who are united to HIM. We are undaunted by the conviction-- and have no fear to go forward!! Pray for the prosecutor, pray for the abortion providers in court who rejoiced at our conviction and this bond condition-- PRAY for Judge Barron that come March 14th he will see fit-- for the sake of the babies we tried to save and the mothers we tried to help, that he will give us a lenient sentence OR NONE AT ALL!!!!!!!

But no matter what—All glory to God-- Monica

MANY MANY THANKS GO OUT TO OUR SUPER AMAZING ATTORNEY ROBERT MUISE OF THE AMERICAN FREEDOM LAW CENTER--DONATE TO THEM TODAY!! please!!  http://www.americanfreedomlawcenter.org/

Facebook Post From the Red Rose Rescue Facebook Page Posted Feb. 21st by defendant Will Goodman:

Red Rose Rescue update from Michigan tonight:
The judge completely washed his hands of the babies believing Roe v. Wade and other court decisions prevent any legal or moral protection of the most vulnerable children.

Therefore, the prosecutor worked with the judge's approval to silence any mention or discussion of the pre-born babies, abortion, coercion, rescue, abortion center, pro-life compassion, victims of the violence of abortion, and the truth about ANYTHING else regarding the holocaust of innocents.

However, Dr. Monica Miller broke the state-ordered command to be silent about what matters most. She spoke with clarity, sanity and courage.

"Larry, the problem with you is that you act like the unborn don't exist." Exclaimed Dr. Miller to the prosecutor Mr. Larry Sherman.

Miller was a voice for the voiceless on numerous occasions with Sherman objecting constantly and Judge Barron sustaining the objections and instructing the jury to disregard all of what was said about those little ones who cannot speak.

In his cross examination of Mr. Will Goodman, Sherman asked if there was anything preventing him from leaving the "facility." Goodman responded, "Yes. My conscience. The unborn children in danger of abortion cannot walk away either."

Barron allowed this statement to stand since the prosecutor did not qualify his question as a specific "physical" reason for not walking away from the killing center.
